Subreddit r/cryptocurrency and r/crypto markets are inundated with shills according to an investigation by Redditor CryptoMaximalis. The 50 uncovered accounts, referred to as the “Dream Network,” were participating in Astroturfing and Vote Manipulation.

 

Litecoin reward halving leads to hashrate halving 

Litecoin halving, in August, has almost halved the currency’s mining hashrate, as the “Lite” version of bitcoin struggled to maintain its price. The mining reward reduction from 25 to 12.5 LTC has forced miners to leave the network leading to a 40% reduction in the hashrate, according to Weiss Crypto Ratings.
