Facebook breaks down fiat currency contribution to LibraÂ
A myriad of fiat currencies will back Libra, Facebook’s stablecoin, with USD influencing 50% of its price. Facebook explained the breakdown of the other half in a letter to a German legislator, Fabio De Masi. Euro, Yen, British Pound, and the Singapore Dollar will contribute to Libra’s price in the ratio of 18:14:11:7, respectively.Â

Armenian IT firm caught for illegally mining cryptocurrency
The Armenian National Security Service (NSS) busted an IT firm that was illegally consuming energy to mine cryptocurrency. Over 1.5 million kWh, valued at $153,387, was used unlawfully for 18 months.
Etherdelta hackers indicted
The United States attorney’s office indicted Etherdelta hackers, Elliot Gunton, and Anthony Nashatka for stealing private keys and cryp[to addresses. Conspiracy to commit wire fraud and aggravated identity theft are among their five indictments.

Bakkt’s future trading went live with the first futures trade completed for $10,115. Current trade volume on Bakkt is 28.
